Jan-Nan-O and another award :)

My January Nano is coming to an end soon...and I am SO far behind.  What was I thinking?  I can't believe anyone has the time to write a whole novel in one month!  I've had so many set backs.

1.

No, those aren't mine, but I do have four of them.

2.  Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)
Not just this book, but other books as well.  I have officially banned myself from reading until the month is over.  Does that mean I've spent more time writing?  NO, absolutely not, because my sister got me addicted to this

#3.
And for the record, you can watch them on youtube.  I just couldn't wait for the third season from the library.  No, it's not a fast paced plot driven story, but over time the distinct character's and regency period keep you hooked from one episode to the next.

Of course I've had other set backs, but I'm determined to get my novel down and done before the end of the month!

Since my blog is another one of those lovely addictions that interfere with my writing, I probably won't be back until Friday for the next awesome interview.

But before I go, here's one last thing.  I was awarded another one of these!

Thank you Rachel for thinking of me!  The two other things I need to cover in order to accept this award are:  share seven things about me and award it on to a few bloggers I've recently discovered.

Wow, seven things?  Here goes.

1.  I have an unhealthy obsession of finding a good deal on clothes.  My biggest weakness in that area, Old Navy Clearance.

2.  I don't write on Sunday's.

3.  I love the color red, but don't wear it very often so my favorite color is blue.

4.  Out of the four kids I have, half of them are twins.

5.  I love to laugh.

6.  Every time I sit down with Janco (the laptop) to write, I wish I had a lap desk (which would be called Ari, because the two are even better when they're together.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read the Poison Study Series).

7.  This is one of my favorite quotes.  "To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.  This is to have succeeded!" -Emerson

I want to pass this award onto these three people.

#3.  Melissa

Have a great week!

  3. Thank you so much for the award!
    I love the quote.

Distractions are both a writer's curse and gift. It depends who you deal with them -- sometimes they are a great source of inspiration ;)

  4. Good luck with your book! My main distractions are Bones and Fringe, and I'm forcing myself not to watch the latest Fringe episode until my book is done. Ahhh!

And I LOVE that quote. It's one of my favorites, too.

  6. Looking into that series! Sounds pretty good! And no, not reading for a whole month is impossible! Good luck!

  7. Thank you for the award!

Good luck with the Jan-Nan-O. I was going to try something like this but I'm still revising my first book. Maybe I can attempt a version by March:)
